Part Time Receptionist
Position Overview
The Hotel Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out experience. This role is central to guest satisfaction, requiring excellent communication, organisational skills, and a strong customer service mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Services
- Greet guests upon arrival with professionalism and warmth
- Handle check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
- Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and transport options
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously
- Manage wake-up calls, reservations, and special guest arrangements
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate guest records and update reservation systems
- Process payments, issue invoices, and manage billing queries
- Monitor room availability and coordinate with housekeeping and reservations
- Prepare daily reports and handovers for incoming shifts
Communication & Coordination
- Answer phone calls and emails professionally and promptly
- Liaise with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, F&B) to fulfil guest needs
- Coordinate guest arrivals and departures with transport or concierge services
- Handle emergency situations calmly and follow hotel protocols
Front Desk Presentation
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming reception area
- Ensure promotional materials and signage are up to date
- Monitor guest feedback and escalate issues to management when necessary

- Organisation: Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with property management systems (PMS), POS systems, and Microsoft Office

Working Conditions
- Full-time or part-time shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Standing for extended periods required
- May involve handling luggage or assisting guests with mobility needs
